This course provides the opportunity for self-determined work in sculptural and functional ceramics. Emphasis is placed on developing the technical awareness of glaze materials, glaze formulation, and firing techniques necessary to fulfill the student’s artistic goals. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate knowledge of materials and techniques necessary to successfully create original projects in the clay medium. This course has been approved for transfer under the CAA as a premajor and/or elective course requirement.
