This course provides students the initial training in basic competencies of dance/voice-based performances and to the nuances of preparation for such pop/jazz/theatre performances. Emphasis is placed on the introduction to, and subsequent development of, basic performance skills necessary for choreographed performance. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate the foundation competencies necessary to perform the assigned literature in various venues and under various professional conditions. This course has been approved for transfer under the CAA as a premajor and/or elective course requirement.
